Deep Dive: Brand Strategy

A brand is a unique asset that reflects who a company is and what it can do. Here’s how we work to make it powerful and create perceived value and impact.

Building Brands That Generate Revenue

Over time, we have learned that successful brands are built on three things AI cannot replicate: deep client relationships, industry-specific expertise, and the ability to see opportunities others miss. These are human advantages that matter more than ever.

We build durable, long-term relationships with our clients, with many lasting decades. We act as a robust network of resources, referrals, and strategic partners who understand their business as deeply as they do.

Strategy-Driven Creativity

We have learned that great brands emerge when strategy and creativity work in tandem. In an environment where AI can generate infinite creative variations, strategic clarity becomes the differentiator.

When we work with companies, we start by immersing ourselves in their business. We study their competitive landscape, understand their market position, and identify what makes them genuinely different. This strategic foundation determines which creative paths will drive results and which will waste resources.

Branding Strategy Case Study: Love Envelopes

Love Envelopes is a leading custom envelope manufacturer and a key player in the $1.5 trillion U.S. mailing industry. Founded more than 60 years ago with plants in Dallas and Tulsa, Love Envelopes provides envelopes in almost every size, color, paper, and configuration imaginable. The printing facility manufactures nearly three billion envelopes each and every year.

OBJECTIVE

While demand for traditional transactional mailings has been steadily declining due to paperless delivery and bill payment, other segments such as direct marketing, greetings cards, and event announcements were holding steady. We helped Love Envelopes solidify their value proposition, get credit for significant investments in new equipment, and seize a bigger share of a gradually declining market, with both B2B and B2C components.

STRATEGY

We planned and implemented a wide-ranging discovery process and talked with customers, sales representatives, the customer service teams, and employees from across the business.

We crafted conclusions and choices for a brand development workshop, which helped generate a detailed briefing for the creative team. Our positioning leveraged the unique company name and Love Envelopes’ Passion to Perform, with a bold new red, black, and white color palette.

TACTICS

We developed a fresh new corporate identity, followed by a comprehensive style guide and website for Love Envelopes along with a photo & video shoot, and a full complement of new assets.

We launched a parallel project to rebuild the company’s e-commerce site for consumers at Letter Jacket Envelopes, improving the user experience and reducing the degree of manual intervention required for order processing.
